McCurry is the first Indian Fast Food Outlet in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The restaurant opened for business in 1999 and is situated in the business district along Jalan Ipoh, Kuala Lumpur. It was inaugurated in Feb.1999, by the then Domestic Trade Consumer Affairs Deputy Minister, Datuk S. Subramaniam, who said that the fast food concept was gaining popularity locally in Malaysia and McCurry was a novel idea in the Indian restaurant business. McCurry stands for "Malaysian Chicken Curry". The outlet is a fast food, self service and open restaurant set-up concept and is of international standard. McCurry's slogan is : "Home food, away from home, Tasty and so Gooood..." Product Details / Services McCurry serves typical Malaysian and South Indian cosines with specialty dishes in the like of : Briyani rice, Fish Head Curry, Tandoori Naan, a wide variety of Mutton & Chicken curries together with the staple items of Roti Chanai, Thosai, Idly and Chappati. McCurry caters for the working population in the area and the food prices are very affordable. The McCurry tea, the famous local "Teh Tarik" is made from a unique blend of tea mix from Sri Lanka, China and local varieties. Other items available are Malay traditional sweet cakes and tit-bits like Murukku and mixtures. McCurry also provides catering services for families and corporate clients.
